The Living Beauty Guide to Paris
We asked our Parisian Living Beauty family members to share their insider tips on living the bon vivant lifestyle—croissants, red wine, art and all.
Meryem Benomar, CEO, Shaeri
1. Tuileries Gardens
“I take a walk here every morning after dropping my children off at school. This allows me to oxygenate my brain and prepare for my day. I am dazzled every morning by the beauty of this place and I feel blessed to live in this city that adopted me and gave me so much.”
2. Louvre Museum
“It's 10 minutes from my house and we have an annual pass. I love walking between the sarcophagi of Ancient Egypt and Italian paintings with the children.”
3. Musée national Picasso-Paris
“The mansion was recently restored and the collection is magnificent.”
4. Marché des Enfants Rouges
“This is a must. The simple, on-the-go restaurants are delicious, especially the Japanese canteen.”
5. Galeries Lafayette
“Since the opening of their Wellbeing space, I go there very often. It's great to have the opportunity for a yoga session and to get a massage while doing some shopping.”
7. Cédric en Particulier
“Cédric is a craftsman with a passion for hairdressing. His atelier in le Marais is maybe one of the best kept secrets in town. He takes the time to really listen to your needs and your desires for your hair over a cup of tea.”
8. Winter Circus of the Marais
“You have to visit in the winter and marvel like the children that we are.”
Caroline Gaignault, Export Sales Manager, Biologique Recherche
1. Galerie Vivienne
“One of the most emblematic Parisian galleries. Admire the colourful mosaics on the ground before looking up to appreciate the beautiful glass roof. There are many shops, including ready-to-wear boutiques, tea rooms, wine cellars, grocery stores and old bookstores.”
2. Serres d'Auteuil
“Located next to the Bois de Boulogne, this botanical garden has many greenhouses that house exotic plant species. Moreover, while you walk through the garden you will be able to admire many statues.”
3. Musée de la Vie Romantique
“This small museum is located inside of a house in the Pigalle area. The atmosphere in the courtyard is peaceful and you can come here to drink a tea.”
Pierre-Louis Delapalme, Co-President, Biologique Recherche
1. L’Auberge du Bonheur
“It’s hidden in the woods of Le Bois de Boulogne just behind La Grande Cascade, the one star Michelin Restaurant of the same owner. Having dinner outside under the trees is a unique countryside experience in Paris, if the weather permits!”
2. Le Musée Jacquemard André
“A unique Hotel Particulier, almost ‘as is,’ where you can discover how the grand bourgeois lived in the turn of the 20th century. It has an amazing collection of art, paintings and furniture from the 16th century, including Italian masterpieces, up to the great 18th century.”
3. Saint-Ouen Flea Market
“Get lost in hundreds of small shops where you can find almost all types of antiques as well as many typical and small restaurants. It’s a trip within your trip!”
